The Australian National Maritime Museum has today announced the suspension of the circumnavigation of Australia by the HMB Endeavour and the companion touring exhibition “Looking Back, Looking Forward”.

Part of the museum's Encounters 2020 programming. 

A new exhibition showcasing contemporary works from the museum’s collection by Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and non‑Indigenous artists focussing on moments of encounters.

These artists have responded to the symbolic nature of Cook and the various encounters with strangers that have occurred around the shorelines of their country over many years.
