A good diorama should be full of good stories – action, interaction and reaction. This is how I came to create a diorama with all these elements, built for the Australian National Maritime Museum. It shows 'Canvas Town', a curious settlement that existed briefly in Melbourne as a direct result of gold fever.
Geoff spent hours researching written accounts, maps and illustrations to create a historically-accurate diorama of 'Canvas Town'.
